This fall, I had the joy of designing wedding flowers for a beautiful celebration at Solero in Rehoboth Beach, and I can’t stop thinking about it. I’m always drawn to smaller, more intimate weddings, and this venue was the perfect size for just that. Cozy, stylish, and full of character—Salero offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made the whole day feel personal and relaxed.
Why Salero is a Gem for Intimate Weddings
Tucked right in downtown Rehoboth, Salero blends elegance with a laid-back beach town vibe. It’s ideal for couples who want a celebration that feels elevated yet comfortable. The space is just right for a close-knit gathering—large enough to celebrate, but small enough to feel connected to every guest. The interior is modern and clean, with warm lighting and neutral tones that make floral designs really pop.
Fall Florals with a Seasonal Twist
For this wedding, I leaned into a sunset color palette that reflected the beauty of the season, with a pop of burgundy as a nod to the coming autumn. We used:
- beautiful farm-grown dahlias for unmatched drama and color
- cosmos to add whimsy and movement
- 100% locally-grown foliage for grounding the arrangements in natural beauty
Lisa’s bouquet and all of the centerpieces were crafted to feel organic and garden-gathered —bringing the outside in without feeling rustic. I love working with our seasonal blooms, especially when the venue allows them to really shine.
Designing for Smaller Celebrations
One of my favorite things about intimate weddings is the extra attention we can give to each floral piece. From the bridal bouquet to the ceremony florals and reception accents, everything is intentionally designed to reflect the couple’s style and the natural rhythm of the season.
At Solero, the smaller scale gave us the freedom to be creative and thoughtful with each arrangement—nothing was overdone, and every floral detail added to the overall feel of the space.
