Courtney and Kyle’s wedding at Breckenridge Barn was the perfect example of timeless elegance. Set against the venue’s crisp white exterior, warm wood interiors, and expansive Eastern Shore landscape, their day embraced a classic green and white floral design that felt refined, romantic, and effortless.
As the florist for their wedding, my goal was to create florals that enhanced the beauty of the space while feeling intentional and enduring—designs that would look just as stunning years from now as they did on the wedding day.
A Classic Floral Vision Rooted in Simplicity
From the beginning, Courtney envisioned florals that were clean, soft, and natural. We leaned into a palette of white blooms paired with lush greenery, allowing texture and shape to create interest rather than bold color.
This design style pairs beautifully with Breckenridge Barn. The neutral tones of the venue provide a stunning backdrop for classic florals, allowing arrangements to feel elevated without overwhelming the space.
Ceremony Florals Designed With Purpose
For the ceremony, we designed two lush floral pillars overflowing with white blooms and layered greenery. Positioned to frame Courtney and Kyle as they exchanged vows, the pillars created a striking focal point while still feeling organic and natural within the outdoor setting.
These arrangements were intentionally designed with the full wedding day in mind—beautiful for the ceremony and functional beyond it.
Repurposed Florals Behind the Sweetheart Table
Following the ceremony, the floral pillars were moved inside and placed behind the sweetheart table, creating a stunning backdrop for the reception. This thoughtful repurposing allowed the couple to enjoy their ceremony florals throughout the evening while keeping the overall design cohesive.
The sweetheart table featured soft white linens, candlelight, and a lush greenery garland, with the floral pillars framing the space perfectly. The result was romantic, timeless, and seamless from ceremony to reception.
Elegant Reception Florals Inside the Barn
Reception tables were styled with low, classic centerpieces (change to: stunning elevated centerpieces that sat atop timeless glass cylinders) featuring white blooms and greenery, complementing the barn’s warm wood tones and soft lighting. The florals added just the right amount of softness while keeping the tables inviting and uncluttered (with a clear sightline).
Every element worked together to create a welcoming, elegant atmosphere that felt intentional without being overdone.
Why Green and White Wedding Florals Never Go Out of Style
Green and white weddings remain a favorite for good reason. They photograph beautifully in every season, complement nearly any venue, and allow the couple and setting to take center stage.
Courtney and Kyle’s wedding is a perfect example of how simple, classic florals can create a lasting impact when thoughtfully designed.
